Sibley
State Park, Minnesota, May 2004
During
Memorial week-end, we went camping with our good friends,
Jim and Diane Gustin and their two boys, Michael and Jacob.
We
stayed at the Sibley State Park in central Minnesota.
The weather was a bit wet and cooler than normal
The
area is hilly and has many lakes nearby, The hills and
lakes are the remains of the glaciers that passed this
way durig the Ice Age,
We
took a hike on Saturday to the top of Mount Tom and then
returned to the campsite. Upon our return, a deer came
by for a visit.
A Deer walks into our campsite.
The hoof print is examined. Jake yells out that the print
show the deer was walking not running! We had learned
just that morning from the park ranger that the toes spread
out when a deer is runs.
