Unfortunately I don't have any photos of Sebastian. Most of what I know of him has been passed down through stories He was born in 1916 in New Mexico, possibly around Colonias.

He enlisted in the Marine Corp probably sometime in 1942. My cousin Isabel says that he was lliving in her mom's home in Albuquerque at the time but for some reason his records might say he enlisted in Arizona. My mom told me that Sebastian was at Camp Pendleton in California and his unit was shipping out. He told his sergeant that he was going to see his mother before they left and they could put him in jail or shoot him if they had to but he was leaving, The segeant told him to get back first thing in the morning. He saw his mom and family. Sebastian was killed on the beaches of Tarawa, Nov. 20, 1943.
