In the Summer of 1994 we took a trip to France. We started out in the city of Nimes in Provence. While Karen presented a paper and attended an Engineering Conference I was able to drive around an see a number of sites.

Among those in the photos are our friends, Norbert and Francoise Valverde and Werner Niebel. Norbert was from Provence but was working on his doctorate at the Univ of New Hampshire where we met him. Werner, a New Hampshire native, was also a graduate student there.

These photos were taken in Provence at Saintes Maries de la Mer, Avignon, Vaison La Romaine. .
